Principal Investigator
Research Interests
My research focuses on the reproductive strategies of snakes, lizards, and amphisbaenians.
I have worked on several projects about gametogenesis, sperm storage, morphology, sexual hormones, mating systems, reproductive behavior, and reproductive modes.
I seek to frame my research in an ecological and evolutionary context and identify patterns that explain the reproductive diversity in Neotropical squamates.
Student Supervision
I supervise students in four graduate programs:
• Science – Toxinology, Instituto Butantan
• Anatomy of Domestic and Wild Animals, University of São Paulo
• Animal Biology, São Paulo State University, São José do Rio Preto campus
